Our approach
Accessibility
The site uses keyboard controls, visible focus outlines, readable type and expandable source notes, and each planning tool has a print option. Our automated checks cover part of this. They do not establish conformance with any accessibility standard, and this page says where the limits are.
Reading and navigation
A skip link at the top of every page jumps to the main content. Tab moves through links and controls, and a focused control shows a three pixel outline. Escape closes the search box, the mobile menu and any open navigation menu, and focus returns to the control that opened them.
Type, controls and layout
Body text is set at seventeen pixels with 1.65 line spacing, and headings scale with the screen. Inputs, selects and main buttons are at least fifty pixels tall. Long quotations sit inside expandable source notes so they do not interrupt reading, and wide tables scroll inside a region you can reach and move with the keyboard.
Each planning tool has a print button that prints your entries and the questions they raise, so you can bring the checklist to an installer or a program office.
Testing scope
Our browser suite checks four screen widths for horizontal overflow, confirms that every visible control and every table has a name, and walks the menus and search by keyboard. It does not test with screen readers or other assistive technology, and it does not establish WCAG conformance.
