Why a curved rail is priced differently
A straight rail is cut to a length; a curved rail follows the turns, landings and shape of one staircase. The manufacturer or dealer measures the stairs, the rail is fabricated to that measurement, and the installation depends on how the stairs are built. That is why the curved observations below sit far above the straight ones in the dealer's catalog and why no honest estimate can come from counting steps.

The two observations answer different questions. The Florida row is a complete installed price for a reconditioned unit, with the seller, condition and inclusions the installer published. The dealer row is an equipment-only starting price for new curved lifts, so installation labor and the measured rail are not in it. Do not subtract one from the other or blend them into a range.
What changes the total
Ask each installer to put these in writing: how the staircase was measured, how many turns and intermediate landings the rail includes, what seat and options are priced, and who performs the installation and service. Permits, electrical work at the charging point, removal of an existing lift and any wall repair belong in the quote or explicitly outside it.
A reconditioned curved unit carries its own questions. Ask for the age and history of the unit, what was reconditioned, and the written warranty terms. A rail that was fabricated for a different staircase cannot be re-bent to fit yours; the offer that fits your home is the one measured for it.

Does the dealer's starting price include installation?

Is the Florida installed price a typical curved price?
