Boca's pricing page answers the installation question in plain words: the quote includes installation by its own installer and removal of the existing tub. The range covers the brand's configurations, so it does not name a price for one model or one bathroom. Keep the plus sign attached to the upper amount. The manufacturer prints it, and a project can cost more.

Two things stay outside this reference. Sales tax, permits and changes to plumbing, electrical supply or the water heater are not confirmed in the range. Service at your address is a separate question for the seller.

The tub cost estimator shows this same reference before you have a quote, with its read date and open upper amount intact. Once a written proposal arrives, switch the estimator to quote mode and total the amounts you were given.

What one manufacturer range can tell you

Here is the short version. It shows the span one seller assigns to its own new tubs, installed, on the day we read the page. It does not show a national average, a metro price or what a different brand charges. We hold no comparable sample of individual quotes, so this site calculates no median and no regional difference. A second seller's page belongs beside this one as a second reference, never blended into it.

Ask for a complete scope of work

Name the exact tub and configuration before you compare prices. Safe Step's published dimensions and Kohler's specification notes show why a product drawing belongs with the quote. A manufacturer dimension frames the question of fit; a measurement of your room answers it.

Ask the installer to put each item below in writing. If one package covers several items, ask for that inclusion in writing too.

Total confirmed amounts without counting them twice

Quote mode in the walk-in tub cost estimator adds the written amounts you enter and counts each cost category once. When installation is bundled into the equipment price, mark it as included and the separate installation field closes. A blank field stays unknown and the subtotal is labeled incomplete; a confirmed zero counts as zero. The manufacturer reference and your quote total never combine.

Keep the quote date and any expiration date with your copy. If the installer revises the work, replace the old line items before you compare totals again. A complete arithmetic total does not certify fit, workmanship or a fair market price.

Compare the project before you compare the total

A tub-to-shower conversion is different work with its own price record. Compare quotes for the project you intend to carry out, with the same removal and finishing scope on each.
